Post-Jam Update
Hey everyone! GBJam 11 is over so it's time for the post-jam update. First off, I want to say thank you to everyone for all the great feedback and lovely comments. Ultimately, the game came in 68th overall and it even managed to pull off a 3rd place finish for interpretation of the theme. My plan is currently to take the game from the Jam version to a "full" release including a number of new features.
This first update fixed many of the jam issues as well as polishing the overall feel of the game. It does include a few feature additions like character selection but otherwise most feature additions will be coming later. For a quick look into my intentions for the game, I plan to add more destinations, flesh out the furniture system, add player ships for purchase and even add recruitable crew members with side missions. It's a lot to add but from what I already have, all of those are possible to implement. This post-jam update also includes some under the hood changes to the furniture system that should set it up better to scale.
The full changelog is listed before and any feedback or suggestions are welcome! The game is very much under-development so any feedback can easily shape where I go from here. There is a good chance that I will make a new page for the game just so I can keep the jam page mostly intact but if I go that route, any major updates will also be posted here. This post-jam update also includes my first pass at making a windows executable version of Deep Space Trucker 9 so that is included as well. I believe everything (including saves) works in that version but it will need a lot more testing.
