KAIJU: Survive All Monsters

KAIJU: Survive All Monsters is an adrenaline-fueled survival experience where you, the player, find yourself trapped in a sprawling city under siege. This game flips the script, placing the player in the role of a terrified citizen desperate to escape a city ravaged by kaiju. Two colossal monsters, locked in an epic battle for dominance, wreak havoc and destruction upon everything in their path. Your only chance of survival is to gather gas cans to fuel your car and make a daring escape before the city crumbles.

This game is our submission for the Game Maker's ToolKit 2023 Game Jam. This year's theme was ROLES REVERSED. While most games in this genre depict players as the monster like in Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee, we decided to reverse the narrative. In our game, you assume the role of the innocent bystander desperately trying to escape from two monsters battling it out in your city.

We had so much fun creating this and we hope you have just as much fun playing it.

Win and escape by finding 3 gas cans and fueling your car.

Take 4 hits from any falling debris or one stomp from the monster will result in game over.
