Cyborguard

Cyborguard is a cyberpunk single player platform fighter that was created for Cyberpunk Game Jam 2024. The game takes place within a corporate headquarters located in a dystopian cyberpunk city.

The Story:

You are Saira Umar, a recent new hire at HammondTech. You were hired for their active cyber security team. The team jacks in to the company's network and proactively monitors and fights off attempts to break into the company's datacenters. When entering the network, the firewalls serve as platforms or anchoring points to keep security team members from getting lost in the void of the net. This also makes them key targets for hackers trying to gain access to corporate logs

How to Play:

You have several tools at your disposal to help defend these platforms. You can make either a close range forward attack or an overhead attack to deal with malware that has gotten near you. You also have access to a ranged attack for fighting off malicious software from a distance. Be warned, if you fall below the firewalls, you will be forever lost in the data streams. However, you can make one mid-air jump each time you leave the ground, so this may help you avoid such a fate.

Should you fail to protect a firewall, hackers will corrupt the code resulting in even more hostile programs attempting to break through. Your goal is to clear away as many hackers as you can before the end of your shift.

Controls:

AD Keys/Left Thumbstick -- Move Left or Right

W Key/Left Thumbstick Up -- Jump

S Key/Left Thumbstick Drop (HOLD) -- Drop through Platforms

E Key/Y Button -- Overhead Attack

F Key/X Button -- Forward Attack

C Key/A Button -- Lower Attack

Q Key/Right Mouse Button/B Button -- Ranged Attack

Left Mouse Button/Right Trigger (HOLD & RELEASE) -- Activate Dynamic Attack

Mouse Movement/Right Thumbstick Movement -- Aim Dynamic Attack

Escape Key/Start Button -- Open Menu
