Definitely Not Hatchet
Definitely Not Hatchet is a survival game that was created for Interstellar Game Jam 6. The theme for Pixel Game Jam was Isolation which is represented by the main character being stranded in the middle of the woods all by themselves, in an isolated clearing.
The Story:
You were traveling over the wilderness when the plane you are traveling on breaks down and crashes in a lake in the woods. You must survive long enough to be rescued while making your campfire as large as possible to attract the attention of would-be rescuers. All the while, you need to ensure that you eat food and drink water every day.
How to Play:
Collect berries to eat, fill your canteen with water from the lake and boil it at the campfire to make it drinkable, chop logs for wood, stoke the campfire with that wood, and make it until help arrives. You have a limit of five actions per day and restore actions by sleeping and progressing to the next day.
If you drink water without boiling it first, you'll find yourself weaker on the next day and unable to perform as many actions. Going to sleep without eating or drinking during the day will also hurt you more and more with each passing day until you can't go any further.
