Questers of the Untamed Wilds

Brave questers set out into the untamed, unknown wilderness in the pursuit of discoveries. You are one such adventurer, ready to take on the uncharted wilds in a quest for fame and glory. Will you succeed or will you be forced into an early retirement or worse?

What is it?

Questers of the Untamed Wilds is a rules-lite tabletop roleplaying game system that fits on a business card. Players will make a character by coming up with a name, description, setting their level to 1 and starting with a D4 die. Then whenever a challenge presents itself to the player, whether a sprawling quest or simply the challenge of having to secure a ship to reach far-off locations, they will need to make a check.

The player rolls their current die and if they roll higher than their level, they grow. Fail and nature wins out this day, thwarting the player's attempts. 

Why?

Questers of the Untamed Wilds was made for the 36-word RPG Jam. The rules of the game (not counting the title) had to be 36 words or less. In addition, the optional theme was Nature//Growth. This shows up in this rule set as succeeding a check causes the player to grow while failing represents nature winning out over the player.
